Abstract

The article presents the profile of graduates, effects of training and professional trajectory of the Professional Master's Course in Public Health graduates, at the Aggeu Magalhaes Institute. From 99 invited graduates who completed their courses between 2013-2020, 54 answered a questionnaire applied through the Lime Survey software. The descriptive and cross-sectional study used absolute and relative frequency and crossing of variables in analysis, and the instrument consisted of the following themes: identification of graduate and program/course; professional activity before and at the end of the course and expectations; current employment status and training effects; evaluation of the formative trajectory. Among the respondents, most are female, aged between 31-40 years, training nurses; self-declared brown-skinned, no disability, predominantly residing in Pernambuco and not having entered through a quota. As effect on professional life, it was found that the course increased prestige/recognition of colleagues, qualified them for activities they already carried out and for different activities, gains in remuneration, providing changes in personal and professional life. The results are in line with scientific findings in the same context, and the tool developed by Fiocruz made it possible to learn about the relationship between education and work.
