Abstract

The lack of timely intervention for people with Rheumatoid Arthritis can lead to pain, inflam
matory processes and disabilities, a fact that motivated the investigation, whose objective was to analyze the
therapeutic itinerary of people with Rheumatoid Arthritis and its impact on the production of care. Qualitative
approach, with in-world travel to construct interference research, supported by some concepts of institutional
analysis. Data production occurred through an interview with a person affected by Rheumatoid Arthritis, to
construct their therapeutic itinerary, later presented to groups of Primary Health Care workers. As a result, the
therapeutic itinerary focused on the care pathway, search for diagnosis and possible solutions for pain control. In the groups, Primary Health Care professionals expressed a loss of autonomy and transferred responsibil
ity for monitoring and longitudinal care to specialized care. In this way, the non-trivialization of pain, the
need for debate about guarantees for access to services with adequate monitoring and the existence of new
investments to rescue matrix support actions, in addition to the development of protocols to improve access
are clues for the combating the insufficiency of public services in guaranteeing the universal right to health.
