Abstract

A review of the literature was carried out in order to systematize the knowledge produced in the field of health promotion with an emphasis on the challenges and strategies for the implementation of  intersectoriality. The databases consulted were Lilacs,  SciELO, Web of Science and Science Direct and  identified publications referring to the period  between 2006 and 2017. The corpus had 28 articles,  analyzing the aspects related to the methodology and results of the studies. It was verified that the studies  have highlighted the discussion of contextual  weaknesses related to managerial and operational  aspects of health promotion interventions. It is concluded that investments are necessary in case  studies that allow analyzing concrete interventions  aimed at health promotion, adding new explanations and establishing coherence with the complexity of the different contexts in Primary Health Care.
