Abstract

The involvement of women in the patenting activity in Brazil is analyzed through the analysis of the patent registrations granted and applications for deposits from residents, published in the Industrial Property Magazine (RPI) of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) during the period 1996-2017. The study reveals that the growth in the participation of women in this activity, despite the predominance of males in the Brazilian patent system.
