Abstract

This article aimed to analyze the panorama of Sanitary Sewage, from 1992 to 2016, against the evolution of the strategic and directors plans of the city of Rio de Janeiro (RJ), proposing sustainable
measures. It was developed from exploratory and descriptive research, with primary and secondary sources. After analyzing the urban plans, a series of goals that were not applied in the city was found, due to budgetary and political issues, that contributed to the unsustainability of the city in terms of Sanitary Sewage.
