Access and embracement in the Primary Care of the Western region of Pará

Abstract

The article has as general axis the discussion of access and reception in the Basic Health Care of the region of Lower Amazonas, located in the West of Pará. It is a descriptive and quantitative research, in which secondary data from were used the second cycle of the PMAQ-AB, in 2014. Were selected variables of the External Evaluation Instrument of the professional modules II and III users. It was considered 58 health teams and 232 users. For the analysis of the data, were used SPSS software, version 22.0 and Microsoft Office Excel 2016. The results highlighted characteristics about scheduling, waiting time on arrival and consultation, attendance to spontaneous demand, reception implanted in the UBS, shift and frequency of performance, unit operation and problem solving by health teams. Regarding the access, results indicate difficulties in the organization of the agenda, as it is possible to emphasize that there is still a need for files and rows for the user to arrive at the service and with regard to the embracement, the research revealed a high percentage of implantation as part of the daily work of the teams.
