Abstract

It is the objective of this study to perform a normative evaluation of the Centers of Dental Specialties (CEO) of Brazil accredited until the year 2014. It is a normative evaluation, with a quantitative approach, based on indicators and parameters guided by the construction of an evaluation model. The CEO of Brazil were rated as bad, average or good. The majority of Brazil's CEO (68,1%) was classified average, showing that they are not fully meeting the recommended norms. The worst evaluated aspect was productivity. There was significant association between judgment of CEO and the geography localization and the profile of municipalities. The evaluation highlighted the importance of improvements and advances in many of the indicators used in this evaluation. We suggest the revision of the ambulatory goals in the specialties offered by the CEO.
